S&OP Manager Chemical, Global (m/w/d)

We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team. Based out of our Wiesbaden, Germany location, you will continuously improve, nurture, and manage Global Chemical Supply initiatives. You will business partner with Application Engineering, and you will manage globalized teams in structuring the end-to-end supply chain to provide outstanding on-time fulfillment of customer Service Levels Agreements while balancing working capital and contribution margin targets.


About the job:

  • Manage business requirements to design a best-in-class supply process by business partnering with Engineering and Production Management in converting SLA requirements into supply chain setups
  • Develop high-performing regional Supply Chain teams by using strong judgment skills to acquire, develop, coach, and manage talented, visionary, creative S&OP and Inventory Management employees
  • Develop a harmonized, responsive, globally integrated S&OP structure by designing operations and communication flows, leading planning teams, and managing end-to-end product generation processes
  • Create a robust supply chain for Chemicals by assessing specific product characteristics and value creation capabilities across the supply network, then developing end-to-end supply chain segmentation
  • Control global Supply performance efficiencies by planning, simulating, and assessing potential inventory and supply disruptions, and managing contingency planning and remedial actions
  • Establish and maintain global Supply Chain structures by managing policies for Inventory, Planning, Procurement, Production, Distribution, Phase in/out, Transportation, Distribution, and Replenishment
  • Determine individual product supply chain setups by mapping and matching the global quantity model with the respective product-customer supply chain characteristics

 

The ideal candidate: 

  • Significant credentials in Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalency
  • 8+ years in progressive Supply Chain Management including experience in distribution, planning, purchasing, forecasting, and system design
  •  Previous work in chemical production is highly advantageous
  • Black Belt Six Sigma, Lean Management, or APICS certification
  • A proven track record in people management preferred
  • Excellent leadership and negotiations skills – you work well across all functions and groups in a globally matrixed organization, and you inspire people
  • Excellent command of English and strong verbal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement
